Our journey takes us through the High Atlas Mountains via the historic Tizi-n-Tichka Pass. At 2,260 meters high, the size and beauty of the mountains cannot be overstated. The pass is also dotted with ancient oak forests, walnut groves, traditional Berber villages and picturesque valley meadows roamed by free-ranging goats and sheep. The pass leads to a high desert lunar landscape, home to Ait His Benhaddou, where he will have lunch. This UNESCO protected village has been featured in movies like Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth and Gladiator. Morocco has long been a Hollywood favorite, and you'll also have the chance to visit former movie sets that are still standing. Then drive through the lush Draa Valley to the historic village of Tamnougart. Here you will stay in a Moroccan riad bed and breakfast and enjoy tea service and a full his dinner.
